Inspire Inspire

Our Approach

Inspire promotes and adheres to a child-centered individualized approach, so that learning and life exploration takes place at each child’s individual level, with sensitivity and awareness about the child’s needs, strengths and weaknesses.

Integrated with high-quality assessment, professional development, and family connection resources, Inspire has created a well-rounded program that addresses the needs of early childhood education professionals, children, and their families. Our belief is that all children are competent learners, and that each child is unique. Working in line with these beliefs, we base our customized program on two international approaches: The Creative Curriculum of the United States and Reggio Emilia of Italy.

Daily activities are documented in communication books for our families to review and respond to. Weekly written communications ensure that families are kept abreast with all learning objectives and outcomes, while daily personal communication at pick-off and drop-off times are encouraged to exchange further details.

Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum® is a leading scientifically based, comprehensive curriculum for programs serving children from birth to age 5.

It combines the latest research and the freshest ideas into a forward-thinking approach to learning–one that honors creativity and respects the role that teachers play in making learning exciting and relevant for every child in their classrooms.

The unique approach is designed to inspire teachers, to help them create a high-quality learning environment and, most of all, to support their important efforts as they open doors to successful learning and promote positive outcomes for all children, including English-language learners, children with special needs, and children who are gifted.

According to the Council for Exceptional Children, the latest research, contemporary learning models call for learning that is:

  • Hands-On: Activities promote active construction of meaning and conceptual understanding.
  • Minds-On: Activities focus on core concepts that enhance their knowledge about the physical universe in which they live.
  • Authentic: Activities incorporate authentic, real-life questions and issues that encourage collaborative effort, dialogue, and generalization to broader ideas and application.

This approach to teaching and learning enables children to participate fully in a learning community where the teacher is not the only source of knowledge and information. It encourages full involvement in a community of learners that includes other children, parents, teachers, and outside experts therefore endorsing the Reggio Emilia approach.

The Reggio Emilia approach views all children as competent learners and allows the interests of the children to guide the day’s activities. The approach focuses heavily on art as a method for learning, and stimulates creativity within the learning environment.
